Embodied Consent Skills for Restorative Justice
For individuals in a restorative justice process, we recommend a minimum of seven sessions over a minimum of seven weeks. Some clients will benefit from additional sessions.
The live sessions are complemented by brief videos and resources that include supportive frameworks, and optional home practices.
To get started, schedule a free 20-minute consultation call. This is an opportunity for you to get a sense of who I am, and whether you feel comfortable working with me. It’s also an opportunity for you to share anything you want me to know about you before we start, and ask any questions you may have about the process.
For youth, your parent or guardian is welcome to attend the free consultation call.
They are also welcome to schedule a separate free 20-minute consultation call.

The sessions are offered by sliding scale:

Each session you will have an opportunity to share anything you would like me to know about you, including what you are learning and noticing from the content and home practices.
I will offer some guided individual practices where you get to connect more deeply with yourself and understand your body’s signals more fully.
As we progress, I will offer some paired practices where we will take turns to notice and name wants, and limits, making requests and responding, and experience receiving and giving.
Why Embodiment Consent skills?
The practice of Embodied Consent moves beyond theories and frameworks, and focussing on developing the foundational and essential skills for caring for ourselves and others.
These skills empower us to stay true to our selves when making choices, respecting our own and others’ boundaries, and navigating relationships with more integrity, clarity, and freedom.
The goals of this practice is to:
~ deepen your felt sense of safety, trust, and sense of home within yourself.
~ increase your access to choice and expression.
~ increase your access to your sense of dignity and self trust.
~ increase your awareness of how power dynamics impact consent.
~ increase your capacity to navigate power dynamics with care.
~ increase your capacity to take responsibility for your needs, wants, and limits/boundaries.
~ increase your capacity to respect and care for others’ needs, wants, and limits/boundaries.
This practice is rooted in dignity and care.
Engaging in this practice means caring for our unique, irreplaceable, whole self
and extending that care to others.
“Working with you has been enlightening. I feel more connected with myself, more able to care for myself and others. This was all brand new to me. I feel like I have just begun my journey and I will continue to develop these skills for the rest of my life. Thank you so much!”
